On 13 May 2026, we proudly marked a significant milestone in our sustainability journey with the inauguration of the Power Cement Wind Power Project by our Chairman, Mr. Arif Habib, alongside our leadership team, project team and valued stakeholders who contributed to making this vision a reality.
Our Wind Power Project represents another major step towards cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable operations strengthening energy resilience, reducing our environmental footprint and accelerating our transition towards renewable energy.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our valued partners and stakeholders Burj Clean Energy Modaraba, Orient Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., Goldwind and Energy Futures—for their expertise, collaboration and commitment throughout this journey.
Together with our Waste Heat Recovery System, Solar Power initiatives and Alternative Fuels Program, the Wind Power Project further strengthens Power Cement’s commitment to redefining sustainable cement manufacturing in Pakistan.

Power Cement Limited (PCL), as Off-taker, together with Burj Clean Energy Modaraba (BCEM), proudly announce Pakistan’s first-ever green captive power transaction a 7.5 MW wind captive power plant backed by a PKR 1.5 billion project finance facility to BECM led by The Bank of Punjab, with participation from National Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company (Private) Limited
With Orient Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. delivering the project using Goldwind’s world-class wind turbine, this initiative will not only reduce reliance on fossil fuels but also cement Pakistan’s path to industrial decarbonization.
