Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing, implementing and managing a framework for benchmarking, gathering intelligence and gaining market insights to facilitate strategic plan development and the implementation of new and emerging best practice technologies and work practices to improve HSE outcomes
  • Providing expert advice and thought leadership on issues that affect the effectiveness of the HSE strategy, HSE performance and opportunities to optimize HSE outcomes
  • Facilitating business partnering arrangements in order to drive change and enable the effective implementation, and embedding, of initiatives and changes to tools, PPE, work practices etc across the business.
  • Plan and organize training exercises for plant employees to ensure compliance with Company EHS policy, with the goal that staffs are in a position to handle any emergency situation.
  • To ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, rules, regulations and permits & EIA.
  • Ensure the IFC (International Finance Corporation) PS1 to PS4 standards are implemented in the company.
  • Actively Participate in HSE ISO certifications and external and internal audits for OHS 45001, EMS 14001 & QMS 900. Carry out incident/accident investigation and maintain the record.
  • Monitor all HSE procedures and recommend strategies to avoid all accidents and implement all health and safety hazards for all sites.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor/Master in Engineering from a reputed university with relevant HSE certification i.e., NEBOSH, OHSAS, IOSH

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in the process industry (cement industry is recommended).
  • Strong knowledge of IFC Standards.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CMMS, and MS Project.
  • Proven track record of driving and leading change initiatives.
  • High energy with strong execution and delivery capability.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal abilities.
  • Professional certifications including NEBOSH (IGC), OHSAS, and IOSH Managing Safely.
